School Attendance
Regular and punctual attendance ensures your children have full access to the entire curriculum without missing out on key learning opportunities available to them. Please ensure your child attends school and arrives on time. Good attendance ensures your children don’t miss out on key learning and can build upon their learning every day. Please ensure your child attends school and arrives on time. You can find our Attendance Policy here.
Registration/lateness
The school gates open at 8.35am and close at 8.50am. All the children are expected to be in school by this time to be registered. Parents are politely asked to drop their children at the gates to support smooth entrance for children to the school. If your child is unavoidably late, please report this to the school office and provide a reason for the lateness, which will be recorded. The class registers close at 9.00am and children who arrive after this time are recorded as late. If your child arrives after 9.30am and the school has not received prior notification, the absence will be marked as unauthorised for the entirety of the morning session.
If a child is unwell and cannot come to school, their parent/carer should call the School Office to inform us before 08:45. If we do not receive any contact from a parent/carer as to why a child is not in school then we will call home to check the reason for their absence.
Illness
If a child is unwell and cannot come to school, their parent/carer should call the School Office to inform us before 08:45. If we do not receive any contact from a parent/carer as to why a child is not in school then we will call home to check the reason for their absence.

Collecting your child:
Gates open at 3.20 pm and parents and carers are invited onto the school site to collect their child from their external classroom door. We allow parents onto the playground to collect their children to ensure the safety of every child. The children have been instructed to wait to be collected by their parents, carers, or the person they are expecting to collect them, and teachers support this collection process. The school must have prior notice of persons authorised to collect your child. You should make full contingency plans when you are unavoidably detained and therefore late, and inform the office as early as possible.
No child should remain unaccompanied on school premises after 15:20 unless they are involved in an after-school activity. We are only responsible for those officially participating in these activities – it is not acceptable for any other child to be left, e.g. to watch a football or netball match even if older siblings are taking part unless they are accompanied by an adult.
Parking:
If driving, please park considerately, responsibly and legally outside of the school site when picking up your child.
Extra-Curricular Activities
We offer a wide range of free clubs that run both at lunchtime and after school. Our clubs are led by teachers and teaching assistants from the school, the Trust and external providers.
Please visit our club’s page for more information.
We also offer a Breakfast Club that provides parents with the opportunity to drop their children off earlier.
